Attaining a Citizen Centric Government
Microsoft and Burntsand hosted an executive briefing on CRM solutions tailored for the public sector. The presentations covered how the public sector can get more control & visibility over their city and constituent's information, how they can make citizen communication more consistent and successful and how they can track and document that contact. Keynote address was Mark Hirst from the City of London (UK) where they have just completed phase 5 of their "citizen centric" implementation. He candidly spoke about what their motivation was, and what their challenges and successes were along the way. Terry Lillico discussed some of Burntsand's implementations, how we helped to increase adoption of the solutions and how CRM fits into the Integrated Information Management model. Max spoke about Microsoft's Citizen Service platform which is an initiative by Microsoft to provide a foundation framework for leveraging multiple Microsoft platform components including Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, and SQL/Server in support of the unique business requirements associated with public sector service.
