Position Title: SharePoint Developer Consultant

Location: San Jose

General Experience:

Microsoft platform and technologies based Projects - 2+ years
Overall software development experience - 3+ years
Experience with enterprise applications and web development on Microsoft technologies
Prior consulting / contracting experience preferred
Excellent oral and written skills, teamwork attitude and ability to learn quickly
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Computer Science or related field

Specific Experience:

Solid understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) product and Windows SharePoint Services technology platform. Good understanding of Microsoft Information Worker infrastructure and architecture. Understanding of related products such as Project server, Forms server, InfoPath etc would be plus.
Active experience with customizing intranet and internet sites on MOSS and understanding of underlying technologies such as CAML
Proficient with tools such as SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, VSS, VSTS etc
Experience with creation and modification of master/layout pages, web parts and other components
Experience with MOSS Central Administration, MySite, Lists, Content types, workflows etc
Working understanding of MOSS web services, BDC, Excel services etc desired.
Solid understanding of .Net framework, ASP.NET, Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows communication foundation, ASP.NET Ajax framework
Familiarity with Portal, collaboration, business intelligence fundamentals

Responsibilities:

Act as MOSS subject matter expert at client sites and provide consultative insight into the features and adoption of MOSS
Design a MOSS portal or internet site. Create a prototype or POC.
Assist in project management functions by giving pragmatic effort estimates
Participate in design, code, test reviews. Contribute to create proper deliverables.
Customize MOSS sites per customer’s requirements by creating custom sites on MOSS.
Develop workflow-driven enterprise applications on MOSS
Take individual responsibility in self-growth to server clients in a better fashion

Technical Skills:

ASP.NET VB.NET or C#, Microsoft T-SQL, Oracle DB, PL/SQL, SQL Server 2005, J2ee, HTML, CSS, XML, SOAP, Web Services.

Soft Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) which should help you to put forth your view in crisp and concise manner
Professional and consultative mindset with commitment for excellent customer service
Ability to patiently explain the technology and products to customers in layman’s terms
Ability to come up with creative solutions for ambiguous problems
