Our Enterprise Operations and Service Management Practice:

BRT Enterprise Operations and Service Management (EOSM) Solutions enable our customers to effectively manage their IT processes from a business perspective. This approach reduces operating costs, improves performance and achieves operational efficiency. This drives higher customer satisfaction and improves the organization’s overall performance. Burntsand is actively seeking to expand our Enterprise Operations Delivery Team as part of our ongoing growth in this area.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Burntsand consultant, you will be involved in delivering a variety of services, both project based and operational, to our clients. Your duties will include interacting with user, business and executive groups to help define the client's needs and issues, and developing effective solutions and resolutions as required.. As a partner to our clients, we do what is necessary to help them be a success. The ability to empathize with and understand the business needs of the client is one of the single most important characteristics you bring to the job as well as a great attitude toward teamwork and superb technical ability.

Role Requirements:

A quick study, able to work in a fast paced aggressive timeline project environment
Must have practical project experience implementing in Financial, Health, Government or Energy Verticals
Must be a quick study, able to work in a fast paced aggressive timeline project environment and complex operational environment
Must be able to consult with clients in a professional manner to perform ‘As is’ assessments of Windows OS and Infrastructure applications (Exchange, AD, SQL, OCS etc) and develop ‘To be’ recommendations based on vendor specifications
Must be able to develop/configure multi product solution architectures, logical and physical, installation and configuration
Must understand support processes and be able to effectively interact with the product vendor support community and operational support teams
Must be able to research information sources and perform route cause analysis in short order
Must have clear communications skills written and spoken with the ability to prepare & lead workshops and prepare high quality project deliverables
Comfortable working in a matrix environment
Must have as solid infrastructure skills Microsoft Foundation and industry best practices.

Technical:

Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 installation, configuration, optimization and operations
Multi-domain Active Directory and LDAP Directory Services architectures
Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration, optimization and troubleshooting
Microsoft SharePoint installation, configuration and optimization
Thorough understanding of environment virtualization using VM Ware
Ability to create/deliver technical documentation
Understanding of underlying network technologies like DNS, Routers, Security
IIS/.NET and/or open source (Apache, Tomcat) web application architectures
Reporting Services report development experience an asset (SQL, Crystal, etc)
Optional ISO-17799 – Information Security Standards Awareness
Microsoft Operating Environments (Server 2003/2008, MOM/SCOM, etc) and/or Unix/Linux Operating Environments (RedHat, Solaris)
Must have some performance tuning experience and or awareness of how to use performance and optimization tools
